Splashtop is decent for media streaming over RD, but seriously inferior to Jump Desktop in every other way.
NEED TO ACCESS TEAMVIEWER ON MAC SOFTWARE
Customer service went to hell, and as far as software innovation goes, they have basically done nothing in the last few years. I've watched as it increasingly became more and more expensive, and then to the point where features were split out into different apps just to make more money, and then those apps were abandoned. I started using Splashtop when it came out, was a tiny company with awesome customer service and the founders talking directly to the community. Splashtop is an alternative, but also pretty bad. It works for quick sessions of fixing your parents' computers, but it's extremely far from being a true remote computer experience.
